RANKO MILIĆ , (BA in electrical engineering)  

Ranko Milić, (BA in electrical engineering) is a vice president of the Association, and also one of its cofounders. He was born in 1967 in Split, is married and is the father of two girls, Suncana and Amadea. His education continued in the direction of human and social capital development, sustainable community development, entrepreneurship and project management. He is a cofounder and a director of the “Eupolis grupa Ltd.” company and was an expert consultant for several companies within Croatia and abroad. He coauthored the study “Development and Application of Interactive Services” which dealt with knowledge and high-tech potentials for sustainable development of a society. Based on that study, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture established a new educational department.

Mr. Milic is a creative director of various campaigns for profitable and non-profitable division, which include the project “Split Healthy City”, a project that is acknowledged from the Croatian Network of Healthy Cities. He is the author and manager of a series of creative workshops in Croatia and abroad but is also the author, fund raiser and manager of several projects within the Association. Two of those projects were supported by the European Union. Apart form the fact that he was an expert columnist for the national newspaper (Slobodna Dalmacija), he is the author, coauthor and editor of several books as well as the author, editor and project coordinator of the bulletin “Hello, Split!” He participates in expert meetings and expert workshops concerning the sustainable community development, but also takes up a role of the project evaluator on local and country level (including for the CARDS projects for the Delegation of the European Commission to the Croatia). Mr. Milic is also the founder and member of the governing bodies and programming committees of several local, national and international organizations and events. He is fluent in English and has passive knowledge of German and Slovenian. His hobbies include playing guitar and singing, composing, writing, spending time in natural surroundings, hiking and picigin (a sport played in shallow waters at the beach which is very popular among both young and old in Split).
