Today`s touristic movements indicate the importance of the development of the recognizable touristic offer which would respond to a request of time and contemporary guests. Promotion and representation of the local indigenous offers are key factors of the development of the tourism in Croatia and especially in Dalmatia.
As part of its Stella Polaris project, Association Split Healthy City has started the reconstruction and renovation of an old abandoned and damaged stone house of the former elementary school in Radošić. The aim is to convert the old school into the international educational and developmental center which would work systematically with children, young and adults. With this project we contribute to the revival of this location and its reaffirmation as a valuable touristic zone with recognizable content and offer.
Environmental planning started through the trees planting and environmental planning projects, including the effort to start the initiation for the arrangement of the botanical garden with the indigenous cultures of the Dalmatian zagora. Natural sequence of initiated efforts is trekking, ecological, educational and mountain trails arrangement in the natural environment of Dalmatian karst areas. First trail of that kind, by this proposal, is being planned on the route Educational and developmental centerZdravi grad - plash Lutvija - ancient well Žuželj - village Đirlići - etno village Škopljanci The trail will connect different attractive destinations starting with the old stone house of Zdravi grad center in the Radošić village and karst lake Lutvija near the center, over the old villages (including etno village Škopljanac) to the ancient wells Žuželj, due to which the highway’s trail(A1 Zagreb-Split) was changed.
This trail has ecological and educational trail tag because it promotes natural beauty of the Dalmatian karst in a way that it is available to all age groups and which instructs visitors about its values through informative and educational content (info-spots with signposts, info and educational bulletin boards, posters in Zdravi grad Center…) and through special, printed promotional and educational materials.
