Full project`s name: Children and Young for the golden years of Zagora Place of performance: Split,Lećevica county and region Project duration: 01.01.2009-31.12.2009 (12 months) Overall aims 1. Local community sustainable development through empowerment and education of the key stakeholders for devising and launching social and economic activities, projects and programs. 2. Improve the level of social involvement of Lećevica County – inhabitants with the special emphasis on the third age persons, children and young, but also socially endangered familiies of both nationalities, integrating them more actively into the community life. Specific aims 1. Development and establishment of social and health care systems and other services directed to satisfying key needs of the Lećevica county population and neighboring counties PPDS. 2. Social capital development through intergenerational connecting and networking of human potentials of undeveloped counties of our County. 3. Revival and promotion of authentic values and cultural, historical and natural heritage in this area with the aim of revival and creation of the basis for the long-term sustainability of social and economic activities in this area. Results 1. Establishment of function and Center activities in an abandoned school in Radošić for the purpose of company and different social happenings for 500 consumers, on average once a week(space arrangement, 2 toilets, for men and women) with part-time inclusion of 5 interested and physically capable individuals into the work with children and young 2. 120 health and psychosocial counseling for Center consumers and their families 3. Realization of 10 massive social, recreational and educational happenings for overall 500 consumers 4. Press and distribution of 1000 copies of handouts about nonmaterial cultural and traditional heritage of the Lećevica county and Dalmatian Zagora, with the inclusion of about 40 third age persons in the County`s area. 5. Realization of 20 trips of children and youth in the region to the Lećevica county and active inclusion of about 20 persons from the area Partner: Lećevica county Target groups: Primary target group are third age persons from the area of Lećevica county, with the emphasis on the socially endangered families under the jurisdiction of the Center for social care (45 households), but also all other persons from the area of PPDS counties. Final consumers: children, young, parents, local and regional educational, social and health institutions, youth associations, local and regional administration Main activities: Reconstruction of old school in Radošić and establishment of educational, advisory and social center, Activation of health and psychosocial counseling of third age persons, Establishment of social, recreational and educational content programs, Brochure, flyers and poster preparation and press, Trip organization for children, youth and third age persons, Public relations. |
